If you live through 3 years, you are returned to the moment when you left, retaining your 3 years of experience. The 3 years are counted in the time passed in the main Overlord world, not your experienced time.

You arrive in the Overlord world at the same time as Ainz. You can receive the money in any combination of fiat currency and at any combination of licensed financial institutions. It will be considered rightfully earned, so there is no risk of being investigated. There is a threadmarked post with additional information. There are no heroes, etc whom you can count on to stop him. And the super lich is the main character. The super lich and his minions are hundreds of times faster, stronger, and more magically powerful than the inhabitants of this world, who are generally superhuman fighters and magicians. This is basically a world where a super lich (who is a MMO player iskaied into this world as his MMO avatar), his fortress, and his demons, vampires, dragons, and other minions arrive to take it over, enslave most people, and kill anyone that they do not enslave. He isn't deliberately cruel like some of his underlings and you can be in a pretty sweet position if he likes you or decides to put you under his protection for some reason, but as a general rule, if you aren't in these protected positions and don't pique his curiosity by being exceptional in one way or another, you simply don't matter. As he is casting the spell, he even muses that he should he appalled at what he is doing, but instead is just feeling exited at the prospect of seeing what his spell will do.

Through this, he actively feels nothing for their deaths. In a certain war, which up to that point has been an annual skirmish between two nations that usually ends with some pomp and posturing and very few actual casualties (for a "war" that involves a total of about 300-350k people), is turned into a slaughterhouse when the MC allies himself with one side with a totally made up Casus Belli and rips up the battlefield with a spell that kills 70.000 men instantly and uses their deaths as a catalyst to summon eldritch creatures that kill another 100k or so. Overlord's super tier spells are more like slightly better L9 spells in 3.5e, with nothing nearly on the same scale of abuse as epic crafting (or worse, rituals). On the flip side, Overlord does not really have anything that competes with epic spells. Spells measured in 30ft in Ovelord are usually measured around 50m in Overlord, which is >5x the range, >10x the area, or >150x the volume. In 3.5e, while the epic character has much higher initiative and will act first, they are still on a much more human scale. Similarly, the L100 character can continuously move faster than a L20 character can see. In 3.5e, an epic character usually cannot do that to a below level 10 character, at least without the aid of buffs or equipment (or build abuse). L100 caster classes can kill 元0 marshal classes basically by a flick of the finger, and L100 marshal classes can level a city's wall with a punch. Overlord has much higher scaling on physical scales than 3.5e. Dsmp x cow reader.Click to shrink. They are similar at first glance, but the scaling has pretty noticeable differences.
